Aveeation is a contemporary house conceived as a memoir in luxury. Founded by first-generation Jamaican-American designer Jortae Avee Charles, the brand blends a legacy of family dressmaking with the modern language of Black glamour to create soulful & expressive ready-to-wear.
The Foundation
Established in 2018, the house is built on a four-generation lineage of seamstresses. Charles learned to sew at age six from her great-grandmother, the foundational skill of storytelling shaped by her mother’s poetic career in Philadelphia during the neo-soul culture of the early 2000s that surrounded her upbringing.

Following this widespread exposure and a New York Fashion Week debut as part of Flying Solo’s "Ones to Watch," Aveeation's distinctive viewpoint has been featured in Harper's Bazaar, ELLE, and British Vogue.
